Dr. Marian Pye - Manager of the Carneddau Landscape Partnership Scheme
“The Carneddau Landscape Partnership worked with Kim to document part of our vegetation management project, focusing on the work volunteers have been doing to manage gorse on the Carneddau. The film she created helped bring an often unseen aspect of conservation work to life and gave our audiences a clear understanding of why this work matters for the landscape. Kim has a very thoughtful and unobtrusive approach to filming which worked particularly well with our volunteers and out on the hills. She managed to capture the atmosphere of the days beautifully while also explaining the process in a way that felt both educational and engaging.
The final film has been a valuable piece for us. It helped raise awareness of the project, celebrated the efforts of our volunteers, and allowed the wider community to better understand the importance of this work. When it was shown at our final roadshow and local community screening it was very well received and people commented on how informative and enjoyable it was to watch. Working with Kim was smooth and professional from start to finish. Communication was clear, the process was straightforward, and she understood quickly what we were hoping to achieve with the film. We’re very grateful for the work she did with us and the way she
helped share the story of the Carneddau Landscape Partnership.”
